When triggered by heat of approximately 180°c to 220°c, SEALz® lntumescent Products expand rapidly, achieving a 25 to 40-fold volume expansion ratio, while producing a high pressure and volume foam.

This reaction seals off gaps and prevents the passage of fire, smoke, and fumes from spreading from one compartment to the next. Intumescent materials are crucial in stopping the spread of fires and smoke through a building.

A before and after of an intumescent expansion expansion test conducted in the lab. Under a pressure of about 35 bars, SEALz® Flex Seals expanded from 66.61 mm long and 7.10 mm thick to 140.02mm long and 53.63mm thick.

With our R&D, we’ve developed a wide range of lntumescent Products. SEALz® Flex Seals use a special formulation which possesses superior flexibility, allowing them to be used for a variety of applications where a rigid sodium silicate strip would be impractical. They can be supplied in a variety of shapes to fit most door components.

SEALz® Fire & Smoke Seals are compatible with most weather conditions and are available in a variety of dimensions, formulations, and colours to meet your needs.

SEALz® lntumescent Products have been tested by Warrington Fire Research Centre, CSIRO, PSB-TUV and other international Testing Institutes and complies with the requirements of BS476 part 22 & 31.1 for FD30, FD60, FD90 and FD120.
